CLASSES

The classes are suitable for all ages and all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students. All students practice together, simply practising at their own pace, we practice a series of yogic postures suitable for all levels. We practice standing postures (asana) and floor postures to increase strength and flexibility. We also practice meditation at the beginning and end of class to help to calm the mind, focus on the now and to connect with your true self!

The classes are based on powerful deep breathing and focus, this brings relaxation, concentration, strength and balance. Over time, with regular practice yogic breathing (ujjayi breath) can be learnt which develops focus, stamina, flexibility and balance.

The more you practice yoga the more you will see and feel the benefits filtering through into your life, practice 2-3 times a week ideally, or if you can't come to class as often as you like then do 15 minutes yoga practice a day at home as often as you can. Little and often is best, making your Yoga practice part of your life. Be happy where you are, wherever you are.

There is always more to learn to deepen your yoga and meditation practice, enjoy the journey. For each yoga and meditation course and for each class we have a theme and focus such as breath awareness and pranayama (breath control), meditation, flowing asana (posture sequences), the chakras (energy centres), hasta mudra (hand gestures/seals) and much, much more! WHAT TO WEAR & BRING

  • Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, and a bottle of water
  • Wear comfortable clothes
  • Please don't eat before class
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first class

 

BASINGSTOKE YOGA CLASSES

On-going yoga classes each week on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.30pm & 8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am.

Yoga Courses

There will be new 10 week yoga courses starting September 2017

Breathing space yoga and meditation class on Saturdays throughout the year 10.30-1.30. The focus of the classes will be - the meaning of yoga and how we can bring our yoga practice through to everyday life, time for some breathing space to release tension and to restore. Classes cost £25. All levels welcome. Please return forms by the date given.

1 to 1 Yoga Sessions

One to one yoga sessions for all levels, you will need to have a regular yoga practice as well as the one to one sessions.

During your one to one sessions we will focus on your individual yoga journey and look at all areas of your yoga practice on and off the mat to bring yoga into your everyday life. Advice on nutrition, stress management, relaxation techniques, detailed advice and focus on yoga postures, pranayama (breath control) and meditation.

First session 80 minutes £50 including full consultation and further sessions are £40 per hour.

Block of 5 1 hour sessions - £185

Block of 10 1 hour sessions - £360

Follow Kempshott Lane heading away from Buckskin Lane. Continue until you come to a mini roundabout, go straight over the roundabout and follow the road until it comes to a dead end and the hall is there on your right.
